About The Event
The body carries with it the lived experience, in all its beauty and lightness as its ugliness and heaviness. The body adapts and is shaped by experiences; it has its way of remembering: filling the contours of life through senses, feelings, habits, and reactions.
The body can be safe as a space, guiding us inward towards compassion, selfhood, and interaction. On the other hand, the body can be unpredictable, disruptive, frightening, and unsafe.
In the Reclaim Your Body course, you will deepen your ability to approach the body as a resource and a safe space. The classes are based on the Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) method practice and the physical movements and philosophy of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga.
